The Blackstone Valley Historical Society (BVHS) is dedicated to securing and preserving items related to the history of that area of Rhode Island known as the Blackstone Valley. BVHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the exploration, preservation, and appreciation of the Blackstone Valley heritage. The Blackstone Valley (in Rhode Island) is comprised of six communities: Pawtucket, Central Falls, Lincoln, Cumberland, North Smithfield and Woonsocket.

50th Anniversary Celebration

Join us in celebrating our 50th Anniversary on Saturday, September 20, 2008, 1958 – 2008, at 1873 Old Louisquisset Pike (RI RT 246) Lincoln, RI.

Please arrive at 4 PM sharp to enjoy all the festivities. The Opening Ceremonies will be followed by the WORLD PREMIERE of the specially commissioned video:

On December 28, 1889 a group of 60 citizens from the village of Lime Rock, Lincoln, RI met and organized the Lime Rock Grange No. 22, P. of H. under the auspices of the State of Rhode Island Grange.
